Our International client in logistics (Rotterdam) is seeking for a Accounting Manager who is strong sense of commitment, drive, and enthusiasm with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key responsibilities of the Accounting Manager job will include:
• Responsible for financial management and control in general:
- Goal is accurate general ledgers of several entities, joint ventures and balancing segments and accurate reporting to various stakeholders;
- Manage team and coordinate and participate in control and review activities, month-end closing activities, all in close cooperation with the Shared Services Center;
- Ensure timely accounts reconciliation’s of the several ledgers in coordination with the Accountants;
• Assists in preparation of Annual Budget and quarterly Updated Estimates, by compiling information received from departmental managers;
• Prepare periodic corporate and management reporting, focus and on accounting side of the reporting in accordance with internal and external reporting procedures;
• Enhance reporting with focus on possibilities of new applications and on added value for business and fleet;
• Optimize HFM reporting and tools for control and monitoring activities;
• Maintain strong internal control environment and improve when possible, to minimize the risk of internal control failures;
• Improve monitoring control function of business control department;
• Manage and/or coordinate the finalization of projects BASSnet and Oracle, coordinate tasks of external service providers and internal BT and business colleagues and assist in the implementation activities;
• Initiate improvements to design, efficiency and effectiveness to current implementation;
• Align BASSnet and Oracle implementations with respect to functionality and interfacing; especially HRM and payroll module and project module to enhance control within these area’s;
• Review and follow up on the BASSnetand Oracle functionality in the area of financial accounting and reporting.

Job Recuirements

• Four years degree in accounting or business administration with 10 years of progressive experience in complex international/multi currency environment and at least 6 of those years related to accounting and control and/or audit;
• Good working knowledge of IFRS, Enterprise Risk Management and internal controls;
• Working knowledge of ERP and consolidation system (such as Oracle and HFM) is preferred, strong Microsoft Excel skills;
• Good communications skills. Fluent in English en Dutch.

Working conditions

Salary indication 70 - 75K euro per year.
